It was another busy time at the park for me. When I had first started out as a rookie I hadn’t got that many runs. But as my experience expanded I found myself with more responsibility and I was loving it. Granted the pay wasn’t that awesome, but I did enjoy my work and the more I did the higher I was paid.

I usually took in about twenty grand a month doing ranger work, which was about half of what I made for reffing battles. Overall, I was usually in want for cash, but I had enough to do as I pleased. I had took this one for the money, i had recently come into a good number of Pokemon and they needed to be trainer, which took money.

I strapped on my gear and pulled up the info on this Zack. He was a brand new trainer and this was his first time into the Park, meaning I would have to help him out some. I didn’t mind this, it would only make him a stronger trainer.

I teleported to the front gates and settled down to wait for the young trainer.

As i stepped off the boat onto the docks i marveled that until a little while ago most people had no idea that this place existed. I am excited that i get to come here and see the many different kinds of Pokemon in one place. Anyways i continue walking down the docks and I see a ranger standing there. I walk up to him and say," Excuse me this is my first visit to the park and I was wondering if you could direct me to the botanical gardens."

Presently a young man walked up. “Excuse me, this is my first visit to the park, and I was wondering if you could direct me to the Botanical Gardens?”

I smiled and extended a hand in greeting. “That’s this place. I see this is your first time to the National Park. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask. For now, I’m going to register us into the log and we can get started with our run.”

I plugged the information into the gate controls and swiped both our ID cards. I took a moment for the information to be downloaded, but when it did the gates swung open to admit us. I led us both inside, shut, and relocked the gate.

“This place is known for its Grass, Normal, and Flying types. Chances are we’ll mostly see Grass types, but you never know. Since you haven’t been here before I’m going to have us stick to the main paths if that’s alright with you.”

Before he could reply a Sunflora stepped onto the path in front us. Sunflore was a Pokemon that closely resembled a walking sunflower. It was a Pokemon I hadn’t seen before, but I was pretty sure I knew a trainer who had one.

“It’s a Sunflora, your first encounter. You have a few options here: battle, flee, or buy a Pokedoll from me. If you want a Pokedoll it will cost 5oo, but we can always try to run first if you want to.”

just after he said that a sunflower walks onto the path.

"I think i'll run because i dont think i can capture it." I reply. "if we cant get away i'll buy a doll."

“I think I’ll run because I don’t think I can capture it,” Zack replied, and he was right. He only had brought along standard Park Balls, which wouldn’t allow him to catch this Sunflora. “If we can’t get away I’ll buy a doll.”

“Sure thing,” I said. I look at the Sunflora and made a shooing motion at the Grass type. The Sunflora looked at me quizzically before ambling off back in the shrubbery.

“Come on,” I stated to Zack. “Let’s move.”

I decided to stick to the main path and made sure Zack was following me, I didn’t want him to wander off and get hurt or lost. After a few minutes of scanning for Pokemon I spotted a Shiftry up ahead looking about.

I pointed the Pokemon out to Zack. “That’s a powerful Pokemon right there, but you can’t catch it. Want to try and sneak past it?”

"Sure thing." My ranger said while making a shooing motion and the sunflora walked away. "Come on" My ranger said as we start to walk farther down the path my ranger points out a shiftry in the distance. "That’s a powerful Pokemon right there, but you can’t catch it. Want to try and sneak past it?” He said. "I think i'll have to i'll buy the doll if needed though." I replied "Well that Sucks" I think allowed, "I really wish i would've brought a higher grade of poke ball." "I really wanted to catch a shiftry."

“I think I’ll have to buy the doll if needed though,” Zack replied, saddened about not being able to catch the Shiftry. “Well that sucks, I really wish I would have brought a higher grade of Pokeball. I really wanted to catch a Shiftry.”

“I know the feeling,” I responded, leading us around the vigilant Pokemon. “I left a lot of stuff out during my first trip here, but now that I know what I’m doing it’s a lot easier to plan everything out. You’ll get used to it eventually. Besides, you might run into a Seedot which you can catch, you never know.”

Once we were safely away from the glare of the Shiftry, I turned to Zack and was going to ask him if there was a specific place he wanted to go when I saw a Pokemon eating. I pointed it out to Zack. “That’s a Miltank, relatively rare, and you can also catch it. Want to try and get it?”

As my ranger pointed to a pokemon eating he said “That’s a Miltank, relatively rare, and you can also catch it. Want to try and get it?”
"I think a miltank could be a good addition to my team so i'll try to battle it." I say after contemplating about it. " Although i would really like a petilil." I say as i throw a poke'ball into the air. As it hits the ground my eevee pops out, "Eevee use tackle"
i say as Eevee come into focus. Eevee rus at the miltank and smashes into its side but bounced off due to miltanks thick fat ability. "Dang" i say, "i hope that did damage."

 

@Bakuraboy13 - You can’t control the actions of a wild Pokemon. Nor can can you say if an attack managed to hit, that’s my job. Gender also?

Zack took a moment to think about the Miltank before replying. “I think a Miltank could be a good addition to my team, so I’ll try to battle it. Although, I would really like a Petilil.”

He reached to his side and pulled out a Pokedoll. He depressed the center button to enlarge it and threw it up in the air. A bright red light filled the area for a couple of seconds as his Eevee materialized from the Pokeball.

“Eevee, use Tackle!” Zack commanded his little Pokemon.

The Eevee nodded to her master, lowered his head and charged the larger Miltank. Miltank saw the fellow Normal type coming and chuckled to itself. Just before the Eevee reached Miltank, a multicolored shield materialized in front of Miltank. Eevee hit the shield and simply bounced back. Eevee rolled backwards until it stopped at Zack’s feet. She rose to her feet, unhurt.

“That was a Protect,” I informed Zack. “You’ll have to battle smarter than that if you want the Pokemon. Think your moves out then execute them.”

Miltank banished the Protect and looked at the younger Pokemon speculatively, sizing it up. Miltank tended to be gentle Pokemon who prefered to heal Pokemon than to battle them. That said, the Miltank wasn’t going to rollover and give up, it would give the Eevee a solid fight if needed.

“That was a Protect,” I informed Zack. “You’ll have to battle smarter than that if you want the Pokemon. Think your moves out then execute them.” My ranger said right after my eevee bounce off the shield. "hmm," I huff as i survey my surroundings, Mostly just bushes and trees. "wait that might work!" I exclaim as i get an idea. "Eevee use sand attack then use quick attack but jump off the trees to confuse the miltank."
