    @Seppe;

    Today was another wonderful day. The birds were chippering, the grass types were growing, and the water types were swimming. I stretched and looked down at my companion a Leavanny. The Pokemon was one the first that I had ever caught and I thought it might keep me company this day. I was sitting on a long near the gate, humming to my self. While I was waiting for my trainer, I adjusted my hat, checked my tablet and watched some the birds fly. I was tempted to put in my ear buds and listen to some sweet jams but then something could sneak up on me and them bam! Then no more Robin! That was to be avoided especially if I have trainers to take though the park. What would they do with out me! Well some one else would take them. But I would not get paid! I mean it would not matter if I were dead but still!

    I looked over at Leavanny, who was also humming. She was making a nice hat (or was it a headdress?) for herself. It looked nice and watching it was mesmerizing. I kept on watching until a flock of swablu flying out the park pulled my attention away The Pokemon in the park would be waking up and active now, ready to be found and hopefully caught.

    OOC: Alright! Let me know right away if I do anything wrong.

    Victor Vega

    Fingers up to my lips, I blew a long, sharp whistle. I looked around the area.

    There couldn't have been a better day for a Park run. The sky was clear, with a warm shower of light from above. The air was neither arid nor moist, and each breath I took was invigorating.

    Damn, it's good to be alive.

    I looked around again. Crunchbite should've been here by now. I spent nearly as much time looking for that pest as I did playing with him. However, I know that's what I lo...

    "Aghh!"

    Something hard hit me square in the back; I fell to the ground, feigning unconsciousness. I waited, one beat, two beats...

    "Gotchu, you li'l blue rat!"

    I quickly rose and grabbed the Totodile that was, unsurprisingly, looking down at me in curiosity after I fell. I had him tightly in one arm; there was no chance of escape. First his snout, then his chest, then feet: he squirmed and kicked as I tickled him, sometimes making a playful snap at my face, which was slow enough so that I could easily dodge.

    "Okay, buddy, I'm sorry. Enough."

    I set Crunchbite on the ground and dusted myself off. He watched me warily. Grinning, I started down towards him again...! But, I pulled back almost immediately. Crunchbite flinched. Laughing, I took advantage and scooped the little lizard into my arms and sat him on top of my shoulders. Holding his legs securely in place, I glanced upwards.

    "You ready, little guy?"

    He made a gurgle that could have only been affirmative. We marched towards our destination, the Park entrance, where we would meet with adventure, danger, some Ranger, and, most importantly, fun.

    @Seppe;

    Leavanny looked up from her almost competed hat. I snapped my head over to see that someone was coming. I brushed off my jeans and started my red vest. I wanted to look good while on the job! I saw that there was a boy with a Totodile. They seemed to be close; it was always nice to see Pokemon and humans that were close. I smiled and realized that this must be Victor the trainer I was to take a tour of the park. I walked over and offered my hand.

    “Hello,” I said, “I’m Robin, your ranger, and this,” I pointed at Leavanny, “Is Leavanny, She’ll be coming with us on our little trip trough the park.” Leavanny nodded. I walked over to the gate. Frist I swiped my key card and then entered the password into the keyboard. The gates whirled to life as the gate slowly opened. I walked trough and waited for Victor to fallow once he was through the gate slowly shut, with a clunk.

    I turned and gestured for Victor to fallow. We started our walk into the wooded part of the park. The trees in this area were pine and there was a soft layer of pine on the ground it made a nice crunch crunch (Or was it more satisfying?) as we walked. Soon a large tree came into view.

    The large tree was about three feet wide and had a hollow center. The path that we were on want right though the hollow but right now there was another Pokemon in the hollow. It was small and was pink with big ears.

    “There’s a Whismur,” I said, “You wanna try and catch it?”

    OOC: You're welcome to not count the many new lines as characters if it makes scoring any more fair. That's just the way I'm used to typing up stories.

    Victor Vega

    She was sitting on a log gazing intently at the Pokémon beside her. She looked normal enough; despite being clad in a full Ranger outfit, she seemed like an ordinary girl. Her head quickly turned up towards me as I approached, and she proceeded to briefly arrange her clothes. I smiled inwardly. The girl stood up and made her way towards me with the Pokémon right behind. We shook hands.

    "Hello. I'm Robin, your Ranger, and this is Leavanny." The girl pointed to her Pokémon companion as she introduced it. "She'll be coming with us on our little trip through the park." The Leavanny nodded... I think.

    I smiled at the Ranger. "Hey, Robin. Nice to meet you. I'm Victor, and this," I bounced my Totodile softly on my shoulders, "is Crunchbite." His raised his little arms and gave a gurgle of greeting.

    As Robin turned and walked towards the gate with her Pokémon, I examined the Leavanny. Standing no more than four feet high, it seemed to be a humanoid-shaped insect, though its body was made almost completely of green leaves, or what appeared to be leaves. Leavanny's head and two antennae, though, as well as its abdomen, were yellow. I had never seen a Pokémon like it.

    Our Ranger had finished opening the gates. She stood in the gateway, waiting for Crunchbite and I to follow her inside the park.

    "Last chance, buddy. Cold feet?"

    Crunchbite snorted with confidence. The burst of air, though warm, was sharp against my head and rustled my hair.

    "That's what I like to hear."

    With Crunchbite sitting snugly on my shoulders, I followed the Ranger into the wooded area of the park...

    The scent of pine was impossible to ignore and, yet, was not overwhelming. Fully covering the ground were countless pine leaves, and they made a *crunch* as I walked, encouraging me to march on. I could hear Pokémon cries from deeper in the woods, but I was not able to identify them. Robin and I continued on quietly, the only noise from us being our breathing and the crunch of leaves underfoot. After a bit, my Totodile began to squirm in place. It was a strange feeling, but not altogether unpleasant.

    "Alright, here. Chill..."

    I lifted Crunchbite from under his arms and tried to set him down. As his feet neared the ground, however, he tucked his legs in, refusing to actually touch the pine. I couldn't help but grin. Slowly, I began to lift him back up to my shoulders.

    "Uumph!"

    I fell back hard into a sitting position, forcing Crunchbite onto the pine between my legs. He gave a roar of surprise as he touched the pine floor. I was laughing.

    "See, ya big baby? You're fine."

    For a few seconds, there was no movement. Crunchbite then sniffed at the pine and stood up. Another few seconds passed as he looked at the strange substance below him. Then, his right foot came up, and it went back down. *crunch* Left foot up, then back down. *crunch* I simply sat there, watching as he repeated this routine a couple times. Suddenly, he stopped and gurgled. Crunchbite commenced kicking pine leaves into air and hopping on top of them. A cacophony of crunching leaves ensued as he trampled the pine.

    "Heh, go crazy. At least you're living up to your name. Half of it, anyway."

    At that, Crunchbite looked directly at me. He walked towards me and gave my nose a playful, but painful, nip.

    "Ah! You punk!" With both hands, I sprayed leaves at his face in retaliation.

    Crunchbite shook his head and rubbed his snout, quickly recovering from my attack. A brief leaf battle began, with Crunchbite kicking leaves at my face while I attempted, futilely, to even pick up some pine to throw. The outcome was inevitable.

    "Alright, I surrender! You're the victor, Crunch. Not me." I smiled as he stopped and howled.

    "You think... maybe you were born in the wrong body, Crunch? I bet you were supposed to be a Grass-type Pokémon." A gurgle was his response.

    I looked up to see Robin looking right back at us, and not too happily either.

    As I stood up, I muttered to Crunchbite, "Now you've gotten me in trouble with Little Miss Ranger. Thanks..."

    We proceeded as we had before, with Robin and her Leavanny ahead, Crunchbite and I behind. She seemed to know where she was going, and, since our pine leaf war, there had been no other distractions. She slowed as we approached a large tree with a hollow in the center. I crept up to her side, keeping my eyes forward. There, in the hollow of the tree and almost unnoticeable, was a little Park Pokémon. This was a Pokémon I recognized instantly. I looked at Robin for a cue.

    "There's a Whismur." Robin turned towards me. "You wanna try and catch it?"

    I spoke softly, as to not scare off the wild Pokémon. "Yeah, I'm down. And I'm sure my li'l buddy is, too." I turned my head to gesture at Crunchbite

    ...who was not there. No, instead of by my side, the blue gator was - you couldn't call it 'charging' - waddling with fervor, head down, towards the Whismur.

    "Crunch, what the hell! Get back here!"

    I watched in trepidation as my Totodile went straight up to the wild Whismur and impressively... kicked pine leaves at it!

    OOC: Gender of the Whismur?
    @Seppe;

    I watched as Victor’s Totodile, that according to the records was nicknamed Cruchbite. I bet that the little water type was good at biting, or were all Totodiles know for biting? I Just shock my head, that wasn’t importation right now! Anyway the Totodile was making his way down towards the normal type who was staring at Totodile. Whismur kept its eyes on almost like it was in a trance.

    Totodile had arrived at his destination, being less then a foot away from the Whismur. Whismur was still staring at it, it even ducked to see if it could get a look at his eyes. As Whismur was ducking Totodile suddenly kicked the pine needles into the Whismur. Some of them hit right in the Whismur’s eyes. Whismur jumped back and started crying slowly moving backward. Once it was about three feet away it turned round and started making a beeline for the forest. Victor would have to get Totodile in front of the Whismur in order to stop it or they could chase them into the woods.

    Crunchbite's pine needle attack was a success. At least, as much a success as it could have been. The bunch of leaves kicked up by Crunchbite hit the wild Whismur directly in its face. Whismur backed up slowly, then bolted for the woods. Crunchbite turned to give me a quizzical look, and, for a Totodile, that can be best described as both eyes and jaws wide open. He cocked his head slightly to the side.

    "Cruuunch! Go! What are you waiting here for?"

    Although I was amused by the spectacle, my determination to engage the wild Pokémon remained firm. I began charging towards Crunchbite hard. He seemed to get the idea, as he gave a surprised gurgle and turned tail to run in Whismur's direction. Of course, keeping in mind that Totodiles are two-foot tall creatures not known for running, I quickly caught up to my manic Pokémon. I scooped up Crunchbite in my arms mid-stride and continued running after the Whismur. While running, it occurred to me that perhaps I could have handled this situation slightly better. Perhaps kicking leaves into docile Pokémon's face, then chasing the little thing at full speed, was just a bit cruel.

    What did not occur to me while running was that we had left our Ranger, our protector, way back at the hollow tree.

    @Seppe;

    I watched as Victor picked up his Totodile and ran off into the forest. They had gone of the trail and were going though uncharted territory

    “Hey” I yelled, “Wait up!” as I ran after them; they had left a small trail of broken sticks and crushed ferns. I fallowed the trail.

    The Whismur was running at full speed, he had finally stopped crying! Every so often He would look back and see that they were still chasing after him. They were making quite the racket All of the Pokemon in the woods was now aware of what was going on. Or was guessing. A few flying types flew away as the Pokemon and humans ran under them.

    Soon Whismur came to a enclave of pine trees and ran inside. Much to his dismay he found that the only exit was the one that he ad come from. Whismur turned around only to see the human and his blue Pokemon in his arms. They were panting, as was he. He puffed out his chest and tried to look scary. Of course this being a Whismur he failed horribly. Despite the failed attempt he was ready to battle!

    I ran through the woods, avoiding the trees and their roots as best as I could; it didn't help any that my little lazy Pokémon, roaring with delight as we chased the Whismur, was doing nothing but being carried by me. I clenched my teeth and kept moving forward, suppressing a smile trying to creep its way onto my lips. This Whismur was going to make me work for the catch.

    My Park legacy? Only Trainer ever to fail at catching a Whismur.

    That tiny ball of a Pokémon wasn't even especially fast, yet it managed to be obnoxiously difficult to keep up with. Downed tree? The Whismur sped right under the thing, while I was forced to leap over. Exposed tree roots? It had no problem avoiding them, leaving me to play hopscotch through the knots. Sharp turns? Due to the layer of pine on the ground, I almost slipped over and fell more than a couple times. Still, I refused to let this Whismur just leave me unceremoniously, and I was having a blast all the while. From what I could hear, for I didn't dare look at anything else, Crunchbite was enjoying this adrenaline rush, too.

    Ahead of us was a very narrow opening within a thick group of trees. I followed the Whismur through it, readying myself for sharp chastisement from the foliage I would no doubt be fighting. However, instead of a hostile path of branches and undergrowth, what greeted us was a bright clearing, encircled by large trees and thick growth. The lack of a canopy in this area allowed full sunlight within, and the ground was mostly devoid of growth, though a light layer of pine was still present. Whismur had stopped and stood at the other end of the clearing.

    How scenic. I wonder what this kind of tree formation is called? Oh, I bet that Ranger would... damn!

    Then it hit me - Crunchbite and I, in our limitless wisdom, had left behind the only person who could navigate us through the woods. No doubt she would be following our path, yet still... I looked back, in vain, to see if she was near. Nothing.

    "It's just us three now, Crunchbite. What do you say? Ready to make some noise? Or perhaps we should be good li'l boys and wait for ol' Robin?"

    Crunchbite leapt out of my arms in response, keeping his eyes on Whismur. Hopping from foot to foot, he was eager to go. Across from us, the Whismur also looked like it was ready, standing its ground and looking directly at us, though it was breathing heavily.

    Since Crunchbite had been able to conserve most his energy in the chase and the Whismur should have exhausted itself running, I decided to forgo a status move. I wanted to take advantage of my Totodile's energy advantage right away, though I still didn't want to push the Whismur too hard. This time I couldn't help but suppress my smile. Now was the time for Crunchbite and I to put our synergy to the test.

    "Crunchbite, let's start it up with a Scratch!"

    He gurgled excitedly as he leapt forward, not hesitating at all once he heard my command. The red ridges down his back gleamed as the sunlight bounced off them, a sure sign that this move would be effective, that our test of synergy would prove astoundingly successful. So I was rather surprised when my Totodile, instead of using Scratch, or any other useful move, opted again to kick pine leaves at Whismur's face.

    My Park legacy...

    @Seppe;

    I ran through the woods still fallowing the trail. Soon I came too A clump of pine trees that had no openings except for one place where a tree was missing, allowing for Pokémon and people to enter on foot. In the opening I saw Victor and approached him.

    “Is it in there?” I asked, “Are you fighting it?” Sure the questions may be dumb but it did not hurt to ask. Plus I wanted to be sure not to get in the way of the fight. Sure I could intervene if things got too risky for either of the Pokemon or the human.

    Cruchbite ran towards the Whismur as he had before and once again kicked pine needles at Whismur. This time however the Whismur looked hurt, little a little damage had been done. Cruchbite must have used more force this time.

    Whismur ran at Totodile and rammed its small hand into Totodile. Whismur seemed to have noticed that the only way that it was leaving was by fighting his way out. The pine needles were now making him mad, not scared. The Whismur jumped back after the hit and was wary of more needles coming at him.

    Crunchbite cried out loudly, albeit in surprise more than anything else. He was pushed back a couple steps by the Whismur's attack but, otherwise, seemed mostly unhurt. Crunchbite turned to give me an absolutely bewildered look, and, for a Totodile, this can also be best described as both eyes and jaws wide open. Resisting a strong urge to laugh, I settled for snickering softly; both of Crunchbite's attempts to play with the wild Pokémon had been spurned.

    Poor guy. Can't tell the difference between work and play.

    It occurred to me that this was probably my fault, but-

    "Is it in there? Are you fighting it??"

    From behind me came Robin's voice, successfully derailing my train of thought. I smiled slightly and shook my head, keeping my eyes on the Pokémon ahead.

    "I don't know if you could call this fighting."

    Ignoring the rest of her queries, I tried to concentrate on the "battle". As far I knew, Crunchbite had never been in an actual Pokémon battle before. Mud fights and stick-swordfighting had been the extent of our training so far. I had the list of Totodile's techniques memorized, but would he know how to use them?

    I could ask our Babysitter for help...

    No, that option was quickly discarded. It was my duty as Crunchbite's Trainer to take control of this situation.

    I called out to my confused Pokémon.

    "You see, Crunch? This Whismur isn't nice, like me! If you want to play with him, you're just goin' to have to play a bit rougher! So, go, show off your Scratch attack!"

    Crunchbite growled loudly in response, then did an about-face to look at his opponent. The Whismur stood there, still, and had been watching my Totodile warily throughout our exchange. My eyes glued to Crunchbite, I watched as he launched a predictable, yet quick swipe at Whismur's face.

    I'll take it.

    I nodded at what Victor had said I was confused though, what did he mean by if you could call it fighting? I was confused by this. I moved closer to the opening in the grove hopping to see the two Pokemon. I was standing next to Victor and looking into the enclave. The Two Pokemon had already started fighting.

    Totodile ran towards Whismur his claw glowing white. He swiped at the Whismur connecting and slamming him into a tree the tree started to shack and wobble almost falling down.

    Whismur got up from the ground and started to cry again. It faced Totodile and started to scream in a booming voice. The noise made Totodile reach up where it ears would be and try to cover them. Victor and me had to cover our ears as well since it made a nasty sound. It would be ten times worst for the poor Totodile. Totodile was cringing until the noise ended them he was ready to attack again.

    Whismur's last attack wiped any remaining bits of smile off my face. The little Pokémon's attack was stronger than I expected, and I knew that Crunchbite couldn't be able to withstand many more screams like that. As much as I hated to, we'd have to end this battle as quickly as possible.

    Ears ringing, head throbbing, I shouted my next command to Crunchbite. Hopefully he would hear me; I could hardly hear myself.

    "Suuuperpower!"

    He must've been shocked quite well by the Hyper Voice attack, for there was no hesitation in Crunchbite's movement. He immediately launched himself, head first, towards the Whismur, who was still backed against a tree. Crunchbite performed the technique as an extremely powerful, single strike with his head; it was a reckless maneuver, one that would sap Crunchbite's strength, but also one that would weaken the Whismur significantly when it hit.

    If it hit.

    @Seppe;

    Totodile launched off of the ground and when head first towards Whismur. It was aiming its head strait at the normal type. A red aura had started to surround it and it glowed more the faster and farther it went.

    The Whismur saw that Totodile was coming. I posted for a second trying to decide if he should run of stand his ground. In the end he chose neither.

    Instead the Whismur started running towards the water type and a white aura formed around the normal types. Totodile flew as Whismur ran. They collided in the center of the grove and a small explosion appeared where the two Pokemon met. I was glad that we were relativity far away from the explosion since we weren’t thrown around and we just felt a little heat.

    The two Pokemon fell onto the ground. I held my breath, had they both fainted? Thankfully I was wrong as first Totodile then Whismur got up off the ground. They were both panting and had scratches all over the body. They watched each other warily waiting for the other to make the next move.

    "Crunchbite!! Come on, big guy, I know you can do it!"

    Unblinking, I watched my Totodile struggle to its feet. He had sustained scratches and scrapes all over his body, and he no longer hopped from foot to foot. I felt myself breathing more deeply, more rapidly. I had never seen Crunchbite in this state before.

    This needs to end. I can pull out my PokéDoll to

    I forced myself to stop that train of thought, for I knew too well where it led. The battle needed to end soon, this much was true. However, I knew that running away would only let down my partner, my Crunchbite. We had invested too much of ourselves to cash out now. And I doubt he even wanted to.

    "Crunch! You good??"

    Crunchbite gave me a snarl, loud and enthusiastic. It was all the cue I needed. I grinned broadly.

    I won't let him down. Not now.

    "Alright! This battle's ending, one way or another! Show 'im your Scary Face!!"

    With that said, I bolted to my right, strafing the two Pokémon in the center of the clearing while keeping relatively the same distance away from them. Meanwhile, my Totodile performed what I had asked of him. He loomed over the Whismur, twisting his jaw and opening it wide, all the while hissing and snarling at the creature. I continued running to my destination, my path forming an arc around the clearing. I reached into my Bag.

    Before, Crunchbite had been in-between me and the Whismur. In this position, I had the Whismur broadsided. I now had a clear shot at it, even if only for a couple seconds. Hopefully, the Scary Face would startle the Pokémon long enough that I could throw a Park Ball. If not, perhaps the Whismur would be frightened away by Crunchbite. I gave myself a reassuring smile.

    Do it.

    I pitched the Park Ball at Whismur.

    @Seppe;

    Totodile looked at the Whismur. No flashily lights or crazy acrobatics, just a glare. If looks could kill then the Whismur would be dead by now. Well I was sure that there could be a look that could kill given just how crazy some Pokémon were. Whismur was slowed down a little bit now. It must have been intimidated by the water type. Now it was acting skittish and bolt if it wasn’t caught soon. They had the small normal type surrounded in a way; well there was only one way out of the alcove that we were in and the small normal type was eyeing it.

    It mad a mad dash towards the opening just when Victor was tossing his ball. The ball bounced off of the small Pokémon and turned it into red energy. The energy was then pulled into the ball and the ball snapped shut. It wigged once, twice and then three times. Then made a click. The Whismur had been caught!

    I walked over to the ball and plopped it into my bag. I would be holding on to the Pokemon until Victor left the park. Even though he had a few park balls he would only be able to take one Pokemon out of the park.

    I sat down on a fallen log and motioned for Victor and Crunchbite to sit next to me, guessing that they would need a rest.

    “We can stay here a rest for a bit” I said, Or we can keep on moving, it’s up to you.”
