    To get to the other side, duh.

    Also because there was a magikal book on the other side that gave the chicken special powers.

    There's also a park on the other side of the road, and the magikal chicken wanted to go visit it.

    If you haven't caught the joke yet, Magikchicken's a ranger now. WOOOO.
