Mark's Story so Far (underscores seperate the different stories; Only includes stories from the "Story" section. In other words, battles, etc. are not included in this summary.): After obtaining his Cyndaquil, Mark became great friends with it and desired to understand it and all other Pokémon on a more personal level. To achieve this, he decided to become a Pokémon translator (this is not under the "Current Position" setting because it is not an official title). After lots of hard work, he finally achieved his goal. One day, after defeating a young trainer, he heard crying in the distance, and decided to investigate. What he found was a Gardevoir, who fled as soon as it saw him. He chased it into a cave, where the Gardevoir revealed that it had once been a human girl named Melody before being turned into a Gardevoir by Team Rocket. After escaping from them, she had been on the run. She wanted Mark's help with her speech, as he is a Pokémon translator. He agreed to help; however, right then, Team Rocket burst into the cave and kidnapped the three by threatening to kill Melody's beloved Bellossom that had been taken from her. They were all thrown into Pokémon cages. They were trapped there for four days, during which Mark became friends with many Pokémon, namely a Wooper that he got to know really well. The Wooper revealed that he had once fell in love with another female Wooper, but Team Rocket had killed it. Soon, the Wooper was taken away by the Rockets for an experiment that no Pokémon had ever survived. After a daring escape involving the freeing of all the Pokémon, the Pokémon began to leave into the forest, one by one. Then, Mark, Melody, Bellossom, and Cyndaquil all left together. However, Wooper jumped out of a bush that he had been looking for an apple in (it turned out to be rotten), and yelled for them to wait. However, the four had already left. Wooper had wanted to join Mark's team. He was sad at first, then became happy, saying, "We'll meet again, Mark." After a lunch at a nearby diner where Mark gave Melody a lesson in her speech where she learned the pronunciation of the letters "a", "b", and "c", Melody asked if she could join Mark's team. Mark agreed. But Melody wasn't going to make it that easy, and told Mark he would have to battle her. She said that if Mark won, she would join his team; however, if he lost, they would go their seperate ways. Mark agreed, and the two had their battle. After weakening Melody, Mark threw a Poké Ball at her. The capture was successful.

Mark and his friends went to a mountain after Mark had heard of strong Pokemon being there. They took refuge in a small house. They soon learned that the Wooper Mark had met back at the Team Rocket base was trapped in a cage there, along with lots of other Pokemon! Mark, questioning the little girl that lived in the house what was going on, found out that the citizens of the village they had stumbled upon sacraficed one Pokemon a day as a meal for a Ho-Oh that lived on the top of the mountain. In return, the Ho-Oh did not destroy the village for living on its mountain. Mark tried to resist this sacrafice, and he and his friends were thrown in the room where all the Pokemon for the sacrafice were trapped. After escaping, Mark ran to the top of the mountain and was able to show the Ho-Oh how much pain it was causing. The Ho-Oh agreed to leave the mountain. After recieving thanks from the girl who was in charge of bringing the Pokemon to the Ho-Oh be sacraficed, Wooper asked Mark if he could join his team. Mark agreed, and he pulled out a Poke Ball and caught him.
