Should refs be rude?

I was on AIM looking for a ref for a battle I was preparing ,however, after I asked him to ref he was kinda rude.

I had a great laugh when I saw that. His status said ffa, and you still asked, too bad.

Also, I'll donate money so you can take a typing class, if you want I'll start a fund.​

 

There will always be rude people who make remarks like that. Sure ST may not always be the nicest person in the world. But, he isn't bad. You will always just have to bear with how people act. If a ref ever becomes extremely rude, well that is a case to bring it up, but until then just try and hang in there.

 

ST just hates life.

Seriously, quit whining and quit being a hypocrite.

 

Refs shouldn't be rude, but we all have to give ST an inch or two, because he wasn't raised right.

I'm sorry my typing skills are not as satisfactory as yours. Obviously your as much of a douche, as the other ref.

 

Protip - Don't make threads complaining about refs attitude. People will just laugh at you and think you're a noob, unless you actually have a valid complaint such as the recent thing with near.

If you have an actual problem, just IM/PM the head ref or an official or w/e, making threads like this doesn't solve anything.

Also, I don't see how ST's a douche. He asked you politely to invest in typing lessons (after refusing in a way that was anything but rude), which is apparently needed evidenced by your use of chatspeak.

 

With my grade average of A in AP Literature I would like to point out that the tone in ST's message was somewhat caustic!

On a side note, "u" and "r" are letters, not words. Also, proper capitalization is nice. At least at the beginning of a sentence. Just a few tips.

I'm not, in anyway saying I am a victim; I just thought the ref could have been a little more considerate.

 

First and foremost... that wasn't rude at all. On a scale of 1 to Kanye West, that wasn't even a 4. Hell, that was nice as far as ST is concerned.

Also, you should have expected it when you're asking somebody with a status message that already says he isn't reffing. That said, ST was probably not being very nice, but you calling him a dick isn't really nice of you either.
