Hey Simple idea. Yeah there's a rule that you have to ref each basic battle, and go "this x 10" for example, but I don't see why you can't go "This x 7/10"

The worst part about reffing multiple basics is logging, and honestly, it's pretty useless if the battles are just the same over and over. It also will mean less posts, and make the logs look like they aren't dominated by basics.

    So yeah.

OK, since I'm unclear on your point. Are you suggesting that while we do ref the 10 battles, we could simply make one log that says:

    Pokemon A battle Pokemon B 10 times. Pokemon A won 6. Pokemon B won 4.

    Battler A gets $8,000
    Battler B gets $7,000
    Ref gets $5,000

If so, I totally approve of this.

    No since outcomes are different.

A pokemon beat B pokemon 10 times in one post, is what I'm suggesting.

Oh, awesome! I was thinking about posting something like this myself.

Personally, my problem with reffing basic battles is not exactly how uninteresting they are, but really having to post over and over and over (7 to 10 times) to log.

I really wish that if we ref that many basic battles for the same 2 Pokemon, we can just put all the logs within one post. That'll make everything easier.

Monbrey's thing works. It can get sort of messy when players switch to a different basic, but that's when you create a new psot.

No, it becomes sort of problematic when you want to find how many battles a referee reffed, and might create possible confusions for the person doing wages.

I still don't see how hard is it to quote your previous post, remove quote tags, and post.

It's not hard, it's boring. I like having single logs though for each battle, surprisingly, seeing how I don't like to log basics lol

I thought about this too. What is the purpose of keeping track of how many battles a person has reffed? How many battles you reffed isn't even important, unless you're going for a record of sorts.

I'm doubting this. It's not that hard to see it's a 1v1 that was done 7 times. This means 500 for the ref, times 7. 3500 is the total, which the ref would state in the log anyway.

Also, like many others have said, they don't like reffing basics because they have to post over and over to log it. Hell, some member(s) go even as far as asking the battlers to log the battles because of how much they hate posting the log.

Here is a fake log that could work under this system.
    ---

    [1 VS. 1]*7
    DPP

    Jalbis (Shinx)
    ragrock (Treecko)

Shinx got lucky a few times with paralysis. Jalbis won twice, ragrock won the rest.

    Jablis gets 4,500
    ragrock gets 6,000.

    I should get 3,500.

    ----

    [1 VS. 1]*4
    DPP

    Kraid (Dratini)
    ragrock (Torchic)

Dratini is strong and won everytime!

    Kraid gets 4,000.
    ragrock gets 2,000.

    I should get 2,000.
    ---
    [1 VS. 1]*3
    DPP

    Kraid (Dratini)
    ragrock (Snorunt)

Dratini ain't so strong anymore! Snorunt killed.

    Kraid gets 1,500.
    ragrock gets 3,000.

    I should get 1,500.

I number my battle as the title of every log I write (currently #1,128 XD Yeah, bragging a little. inb4 Ataro). If next I were to do 7 battles for an evolution, I see no reason why I couldn't title it as Battles #1,129 - #1,135. which in itself indicates that the log represents 7 battles, and maintains a record of how many I've done.

Me = not a ref, but I understand how tedious logging can be from doing Ranger Logs and from logging for refs once in a while. Personally I think anything to make that easier and faster for the refs is fine, especially if it means peoples' battles can get done faster since the ref doesn't have to stop every battle to log.

I think this was allowed a loooooooooooooong time ago, like when I first joined, but was banned around the time King got caught multiplying battles, which eventually led into the whole OHKO/2OHKO ban madness. Personally, I hate logging basics over and over as well, but I can understand why we're required to.
