Well, as you all know, we have a section of our fine community known as the Underground. I have used it several times in hopes of a great prize, ultimately to end up with mostly evolutionary stones. I won't complain about that, because it is the risk I took in entering. The things that I would like to bring up are two questions that I had after my latest visits.

    1. The difficulty in receiving a Spiritomb.

I understand that Spiritomb is a very rare mon. It also is very favorable on any team because of it's lack of weaknesses. But as rare as it goes, why the extra 1-30 roll? Even if you get the luck of the gods and get the first 4-9 and second 1-9 roll, it could still end in failure because of the following roll. Also, if you were to write a story for any of the mons you receive from the fossils, they are all in the same category. Including Spiritomb. I would just like to understand why it is placed on such a high pedestal. This leads me to question number 2.

    2. With all of the fossils you can find, why no Old Amber for Aerodactyl?

It seems that Aerodactyl fits into the category with all of these other mons. In the games, it is just another fossil pokemon, barring the fact that you need HM Cut to get it in certain versions. But, nonetheless in The Underground (which is the namesake of our URPG Underground) you can find Old Amber as well as the other fossils. It just strikes me as peculiar that it isn't available. The difference it does have from the others is the story difficulty. It is considered on par with the other fossil's evolutions, instead of their basic forms. That is the only reason I could see that it would excluded.

I'm interested in hearing anyones thoughts on these topics. Of course, it would also be a lot better to hear a reason other than "It's worked so far, why change it." But, I can see that this viewpoint has merit, so whatever works.

    1. Spiritomb does seen impossible to get, and i dont like the whole extra roll, but it is very good, so worth it.

    2. Aerodactyl is awesome. thats why its not in there. it is too powerful in comparison with the others for it to be available for the small amount of money needed to get in the underground

The Underground was changed before the expansion to BMG to reduce the circulation of spiritomb's and Aeros coming out of the Underground. Too much were being given so They took out Aero and made Spiritomb harder to get.

As to your argument of they are all in same category, Aero and spiritomb arent mart mons.

    Chance of getting Spiritomb: (5/100)*(9/100)*(30/100) = 0.00135

    135/100,000
    1.35/1,000
    .135/100

So one dude gets a Spiritomb every 1,000 attempts or so (maybe a little higher counting getting nothing and retrying). I'm fine with it, because you basically get a rare Pokemon for no effort.

    I have 2 Aerodactyl.

Edit: If you remove the last 30% chance, it becomes...
    (5/100)*(9/100) = 0.0045

    45/10,000
    1/222.222...

One of them is mine :(

Aerodactyl was removed and Spiritomb chances were lowered because the story people felt that it was hurting stories or something. :mail:

If you want an Aerodactyl or Spiritomb, write a story or win a tournament!

Being from BMG, I had no idea that they were available normally before. Thank you all for the explanations.
