Meet up

So I was thinking, there is barely any interaction between Pe2k members and us. I was thinking, if there could be a IRC channel or a thread where Pe2K members and BMGF members could interact, meet each other. OR
We could have the officials make 1 thread each on Pe2K and BMGF for people who wish to talk to the people on the other end, so then the officials could pick 2 people who are generally similar- behaviour/level and make them meet each other as in tell them about each other. This could be interaction- We could also have battles and stuff.

 

The problem with the interaction thing is that the official AIM chat, URPG Chat, is painfully empty. It'd be best for both sides to be aware of its existence.

 

URPG blind dating? Sounds fun, but dangerous in the fact that we have licenced pedo-bears :I

 

This is so potentially disastrous that I don't even want to think about it. The friction between boards needs to be rectified, yes, and more friends being made never hurts, but methinks too many would abuse this system.

Not on the internet. And since Internet = Real Life. We can safely assume it is not illegal in real life.

 

Why/How will people abuse the system?

 

If you knew them, you'd understand... and don't use this as ammunition for your cause, you DON'T want to know why...

If we were to incentivize such a thing enough to provoke people doing it, people would only be doing it for the incentives, rather than the cause; I think we'll be fine if we rely on the people who have to use both boards, such as the Graders or the Refs, to start intermingling.

 

It seems like this already happens anyway. FFAs are wonderful places to meet new people.

This doesn't need to be some sort of crazy diplomatic thing, with like officials and stuff. If you see a Pe2ker online, don't be afraid to say hi. We're nice for the most part. :0
