A New Event for the Future?

Now, I know this will receive a lot of flak from the officials. Or maybe not. But, I am fairly certain this will raise some concern with some people.

Anyway, here's my idea for an event for the future.

How about a few days where you can buy a story mon? Like, a Weekend or something? Here's how it would work.

-The Pokemon must be in Basic form.
-No Pokemon above Hard (or Complex, depends on what the officials think)
-The price will be equivalent to the MCR of the Pokemon multiplied by 1.5. For example, let's say I want a...Magikarp. With a 3,000 MCR, multiplied by 1.5 will make the price $4,500. A Sandile, on the other hand, which is a Medium, would be $15,000. etc, etc...
-You can only purchase ONE Pokemon for the event and you must post the transactions and stuff in the thread. This is to prevent the people who will take advantage of the event with their large amounts of money (Bee, I'm looking at you.)
-Once you post, you cannot edit your post without the permission of an Official.

So those are the basics of it. Tell me what you think.

Out of curiosity, aren't you going to tell us which story Pokemon you're desperate to have, yet, at the same time, aren't willing to apply the necessary labor towards obtaining?

Sounds like a spiffy idea to me, the price would probably need to get jacked up though.

Us URPG people don't enjoy giving out Pokemon for free ... y'know?

 

I second that. I mean its not like your giving out Porygon's or Aerodactyls. Just a Hard or lower mons wouldn't be harmful to anyone.

 

I just want to say there is already a facility in URPG to obtain story mons without the difficulty of writing a full blown story. That magical facility is called the National Park. The first run can be expensive and there is still writing involved but its a lot less than stories.

As for the idea ... no, I think it defies the point in them being harder to obtain if we just sell them.

The price would have to be at least 50k per mon. And even then, freaks like BB with 225k to spare on a Larvesta would probably have an easy time muscling that price.

 

I don't like this idea; the whole idea of writing stories for rare Pokemon is to keep them RARE.

 

Hence the whole ONE PER PERSON thing. And the event would only be for about THREE DAYS.

Bad idea. Story mons are only available in stories and the park (and occasionally auctions) for a reason, and this would let people get them far too easily.

PS: if you want to pay for story mons, just get a story deal.
