    Stories and Art for Cash!

wishing for money because who doesn't?

The biggest complaint we hear in URPG is that there are so many Mons to EM and that there aren't enough ways to earn money. Well, problem solved! Here's another way to earn some coin—Art and Stories for Cash!

For this, instead of aiming for a capture attempt when a member submits a story or art piece, they submit these things to earn money. A Grader or Curator evaluates these works just like they would normally and decide which rank it fits into quality-wise. The URPGer then gets cash instead.

    How It Works:

    • A member writes a story or draws a picture
    • They put [Cash] or something similar in the title so we know it's for money and not capture. The type of submission must be very clear somewhere in the post or else it will be treated as a capture attempt.
    • The user does not need to declare rank but can if they want to—the Grader/Curator, however, has final say on where it fits.
    • A Grader or Curator claims and grades/curates as normal and is paid as normal
    • The Grader/Curator determines which rank the piece passes under similar to how they would for captures. They already look at the target rank or just go through each rank and ask themselves, does it pass at Merciless? Yes/No. Demanding? Yes/No. Etc, until they find where it fits.
    • The member gets a set money amount depending on which rank their story/art passes under
    • This is separate from capture attempts—users have to pick one or the other

    Money Values Earned (by Rank):

    • Easiest - 3k
    • Simple - 5k
    • Medium - 10k
    • Hard - 15k
    • Complex - 25k
    • Demanding - 40k
    • Merciless - 55k
    • Stupefying - 70k

    Extras:

    • Members are limited to 3 Medium rank or lower pieces per month (there's no spamming here)
    • Hard rank+ pieces are not limited (so feel free to make as much higher-rank stuff as you want!) and do not count toward the 3 limit
    • If a user submits a 4th piece but it does not rate Hard+ rank, it may count for money as a lower rank the following month. They may also edit it based on their Grader/Curator feedback before the month ends to count as the higher rank.
    • Users may resubmit a piece twice if they think they can achieve a slightly higher rank so long as they don't claim their money. However, after those two attempts or once a higher rank is attained, that's it.
    • Users must post to claim money or if they are attempting a redo in their threads
    • If a member puts all of their art in one thread, having two threads, one for capture and one for cash, might be helpful.
    • Individual chapters for multi-chaptered fics can be submitted and judged separately
    • Art and Stories are separate sections, so the limit applies to both separately! You can make 60k+ a month if you want to!
    • Pieces that have previously been submitted, failed, and remain unedited for capture attempts are not applicable for this new program.
    • The submission type (capture or cash) cannot be changed once the piece has been claimed
    • Content doesn't have to be restricted to specific target Pokemon—if someone wants to paint a picture of a sunset over Mt. Moon, that's perfectly fine! It will still be evaluated as normal. Content can be about anything URPG/Pokemon related including AH, Park, and members themselves. However, be sure to get permission if you use someone's likeness!
      • This means that pieces are not judged by MCR—quality is always most important
      • Pokemon ranks are not considered—the overall quality determines the rank
      • The piece of work has ONE rank, regardless if it features multiple Pokemon or not—if a story is long, consider breaking it up into chapters
    • The monthly theme does not apply to Cash submissions
    • If your target rank and the decided rank don't mesh, talk to your Grader/Curator about why!

Graders and Curators are going to consider these pieces very carefully, particularly in the Medium/Hard ranks, so do your best!

We'll be monitoring abuse too, so don't try to cheat this system. This is supposed to be a nice creative outlet while giving people extra reward!

    HEY THERE. NOT A DRILL.

This rules outlined are exactly the same, but the rewards have been adjusted for consistency. This applies to both Art and Stories. Changes are shown in bold:

    Money Values Earned (by Rank):
    • Easiest - 3k
    • Simple - 5k
    • Medium - 10k
    • Hard - 20k
    • Complex - 30k
    • Demanding - 40k
    • Merciless - 55k
    • Stupefying - 70k
