Hello everybody. As you know, some time ago we implemented the rule that no OHKO shall pay money because people were abusing it. It has certainly made the issue smaller, but unfortunately there is still abuse by battlers and refs alike, except now it's the 2HKO's. Therefore I've discussed the issue with the senior refs, and as of now the payment for 1v1 battles will be as follows:

    • All OHKO's will still not give any pay to refs or battlers. So this part stays the same.
    • Any 1vs1 battle that involves a fully evolved Pokemon will not give any pay to refs or battlers, unless one of the battlers has only one Pokemon.

So the second point applies to both 1v1 battles where a fully evolved Pokemon is up against a not fully evolved Pokemon (eg. Charizard vs Ivysaur), but also where a fully evolved Pokemon is up against another fully evolved Pokemon (eg. Starmie vs Arcanine, Aerodactyl vs Alakazam).
There are hardly any proper 1v1 battles that include two fully evolved Pokemon, so it should not be a problem. In the odd case where two tactical brains just want to pit two Pokemon against each other for the battleside of it, they'll just have to do it for the fun of the battle, and it won't be paid. Since this really doesn't happen often, it will not deprive anybody of a lot of money, while this rule does go a long way in preventing further abuse.

I would like the wages counters to take good note of this, and especially look out for these situations while people are not used to this rule yet. And of course, should any abuser be so desperate to create clone accounts just to battle "somebody" with only one Pokemon, there will obviously be severe punishments for that.

    Thank you for your time!
