Instead of having to eliminate any of the options that are close in the lead, we're just going to go with the two most popular choices: Regular and Battle Factory. It makes most sense to give the Regular Tournament a ladder style while the Battle Factory can run as a bracket. Fossil Fusion will be running the Battle Factory. If you have any objections to these decisions, please say so. Otherwise, just vote what kind of 'ladder' you want to go with for the Regular Tournament. I think a better name would be like a 'free' type of format since most of these options don't really follow what we know as a 'ladder' besides placing people in an order that supposedly ranks them. Anyway, your options...

Straight Points - Anyone is free to challenge anyone else a certain amount of times (possibly once) for the duration of the tournament. Challenges can't be denied. You gain 3 points for a win and 1 point for a loss.

Wager -Anyone is free to challenge anyone else a certain amount of times (possibly once) for the duration of the tournament. Challenges can't be denied. The person that is challenged decides how many points will be wagered, limited by how much each battler has. Further restrictions may exist, such as you can't wager more than x amount of points in a single battle, or less than y.

idc - You don't care which type.

    Other - Something not listed.

Voted idc by accident... To be honest, I'd prefer to do a bracket for the Regular Tournament as well. It's more appealingto me, but if that is not an option you'll consider, Wager is cool too.

Um um Pidge/husnain(he does run PO Pe2k after all), you probably know what I'm talking about better than I do, but could the system used for determining Ranking for the online battling simulators be used?

I think it does a better job at demonstrating who the best battler is than the normal points system. For example, battling a higher ranked opponent will yield more rewards than battling a newbie.

So something like what the old ladder used?

    How are the rankings calculated?

The URPG Ladder uses the TrueSkill system developed by Microsoft:

TrueSkill Ranking System - Microsoft Research

Each player is given a µ (mu) and σ (sigma) rating. µ denotes a player's average skill and s denotes the uncertainity of that skill, the range of which your true skill can actually be. Participants in this ladder will start with 3000 µ and 1000 σ. Updating the µ and s of each player after a battle will be done by using this calculator:

    Rank Calculator

Your position of the ladder will be based on who has the higher conservative skill estimate, µ - k*σ. The constant k that will be used will be 3. The result will be rounded to three decimals.

To learn more about the rating system, including how the µ and σ update for each player, be sure to read the original hyperlink given.

You will be added to the Leaderboard once you've completed your first battle.

It's an ass to calculate all by myself. If someone wanted to volunteer to assist in calculating ratings and deviations (I can show you how to do it, it's not really hard), you and others could vote 'Other' for it.
