Challenger Ash K. (Accelgor, Chandelure, Mega Lucario, Nidoking) [Gallade, Togekiss] vs. Champion Synthesis (Ditto, Eelektross, Mega Gardevoir, Greninja, Porygon-Z, Togekiss)

Accelgor was the early MVP of this match, and then some. On Turn 2, Ash triggered Togekiss' Weakness Policy with a Sludge Bomb, but caught a break when Togekiss used Defog and made itself vulnerable to Encore. Instead, Syn switched in Eelektross, but ended up in an even worse hole when he got trapped by Infestation *and* locked into Knock Off against Acid Armor Accelgor. Mega Lucario came in shortly after to KO Eelektross, and when Imposter Ditto tried to take advantage, Ash was able to guess Choice Scarf and sent in his own Scarf Chandelure for another KO. Syn tried to regain momentum with Z-Conversion Porygon-Z, but Mega Lucario took a hit to Roar it out, and also got a monster Bullet Punch in on Mega Gardevoir for good measure before falling. Accelgor got the revenge kill on Garde, Nidoking came in off U-turn to take care of Togekiss, and Chandelure trapped Porygon-Z for an easy KO. With only Greninja left on Syn's team, Accelgor brought us full circle when it switched in on Toxic Spikes -- threatening to Encore and forcing the forfeit.
