URPG Budget Tournament 2017

Are you ready to prove yourself in the ultimate contest to see if that personal finance class got you to where you need to budget, or just the fact that you live on $20 a week for food because that's all you can get? Then this is the tourney for you. Probably. Welcome to the URPG Budget Tournament of 2017.

The Budgets
Each Participant will be given two budgets (for the purposes of this tournament only): 85K to spend on Pokemon, and 200K to spend on everything else; Extra Moves, Berries, Held Items, Mega Stones, etc. You may not use your own money to supplement the money you are given in the tournament.

After each round, more money will be rewarded to the advancing participants in the form of half the amount they received the previous round. For example in Round 2, each remaining participant will receive 50K for their Pokemon budget and 100K for their Other budget. After a certain number of rounds, the amount rewarded to the remaining players will stop decreasing. A player will never receive less then 15K towards their Pokemon budget, and never less than 20K for their Other Budget each round.

Purchasing
Buying Pokemon, items, Extra Moves, and everything else will be done in the Budget Tournament Ultra Mall 2017. Any current Staff Member or Mart Approver can approve your purchases there. You may only use Pokemon and items that you have purchased in the Ultra Mall for battles in this tournament. Nothing you previously owned can be used.

The cost of each Pokemon is dependent on its Tier. Tier 1 Pokemon are typically the best choices when battling, but they are much more expensive. All items, moves, abilities, and TMs have the same cost as they normally would in the Pokemart. However, you will not need to pay for Mega Ring. If you do not currently own one, you are able to use one for this tournament.

Stats for the Tournament
In this sign-up sheet, each player should keep a record of all the Pokemon, items, and moves/abilities that they have bought during the tournament in a relatively organized manner. (Basically, another set of "Trainer's Stats".) Please keep track of the money you have leftover after each round. It will carry over into the next round, except at half of its current value. So if you have $10,000 leftover from Pokemon, you will have $5,000 the next round including whatever else you receive. If possible, please put this in a spoiler to avoid cluttering the thread.

Tournament Rules
Each Tournament battle will use the following rules. The following rules only apply to Round 1. Afterwards, they will change to 6v6:

This means you have to buy four Pokemon for Round One, and have six for Round Two and onwards.

What you've been waiting to see. To note, these prizes are subject to change. Depending on the amount of people, there could possibly be bigger and better prizes!

First Place: Any Complex Pokemon of your choosing.
Second Place: Any Hard Pokemon of your choosing.
Third Place: Any Medium Pokemon of your choosing.
Fourth Place: Any Simple Pokemon of your choosing.

How To Sign Up
Complete this sign-up sheet. (please use Spoiler Tags!) There will be a 10K entrance fee deducted from your actual money in order to enter. The fee will be returned if you lose, but not if you do not show up to your battle. However, if you have been in URPG for under 2 months, you can sign up for the tournament for absolutely free. Please make a concerted effort to schedule your battles, or this fee will not be refunded.

On August 13th, after 11:59 PM GMT -6 (CST), purchases for Round 1 will no longer be valid. At that point, opponents for Round 1 will be rolled and posted, and the tournament will start!
