Gym Tournament 2014 - Results

    I apologise in advance for my lack of usual preamble, but it's early on Friday morning and I'm almost literally running on fumes. Anyway, here we go!

    The annual Gym Tournament has come to a close (who'da thunk it?), and I'm here to announce the winner; Ataro, the Veteran Vanquisher, a real Normal-type Numero Uno! For winning this prestigious and most excellent tournament, he has the choice between a Normal-type Hard-ranked Pokemon or a cash prize of $15,000!

    Coming in second place is one of our most dedicated members, the Flying Fighter, the astute assailant, Ash K.! He can choose between a Flying-type Medium-rank Pokemon or a cash prize of $10,000.

    Third but not least is someone everyone should know, a real gritty gladiator, the Bee-typed Brawler, Synthesis! He can choose between a Bug-type Simple-rank Pokemon or a cash prize of $5,000.

    Thanks again to everyone who participated in one of the longest-running URPG traditions (disclaimer: that I can be bothered remembering). This was a small year for the Gym Tournament, but let's all try to make next year rival the truly epic slugfests of yesteryear!

    I should get 7k from the two matches I reffed (4+3). Swift presumably has 3k less but i'm too lazy to check!
