A cold wind blew out from the west as two lone figures seemed to faze into the horizon from the void. As they approached the fated battle field, another cold chill fell over the area, only the wind had died down by this point. A mischievous Duskull floated by it dark cloaked partner who gave off as much as a ghostly sense as the pokemon did.

"Today, my friend," whispered the cloaked trainer," is a good day to battle." Throwing back his hood, Zeferin's white hair gleaned in the early morning sunlight. "Let's begin: Charon, I choose you!"

 

Cobalt(M)-Flash Fire

The thud of hooves hitting the earth sounded from the East. Swiftly moving toward the battle field was a cream and orange colored speck. As it drew closer it was easy to identify the creature as the flame horse, Ponyta. Upon its back sat a silver haired girl with flaming gold eyes. She rode bareback, maneuvering her Pokemon with ease.
"Whoa there, Cobalt. Don't run over our friends now," she called, drawing the horse to a stop. Ponyta pawed at the ground as his trainer hopped off his back.
With her becoming free of her horse, the trainer was easily identified as Ayame. She nodded her head toward Zeferin and gave him a goofy grin.
"Hello there, good friend. I'm glad I could accept your battle request. This is my first battle, so please go easy on me," Ayame greeted with a bow. "Now to get down to business...Cobalt! I choose you!"
The Ponyta whinnied and dashed onto the battle field.

 

"What, no cavalry to come with you? No matter, I'll defeat you and the white horse you rode in on!" Turning to his fellow spook, Zeferin said to Charon," Charon, Confuse ray!"

 

Ayame giggled at the corny line, but quickly turned her attention back to the battle.
"Cobalt, Agility! Let's show that ghost some speed!"

 

Ponyta used Agility!
Speed raised...

Duskull used Confuse Ray!

Duskull 100%

 

Cobalt swayed slightly as he was hit by the ray, but his feet continued to carry him around Duskull. Ayame pondered the situation for a second, before settling on her attack.
"Cobalt, Fire Blitz!"

 

"Well Charon, It seems this little pony thinks its pretty fast." Chuckling a little, Zeferin said," I guess we'll have to show that we will win through strategy, not power. Charon...future sight."

 

Assuming that Fire Blitz = Flare Blitz...

Ponyta used Flare Blitz!
Recoil...

Duskull used Future Sight!

Ponyta 84.86% [Speed +2][CON2]
Duskull 43.85%

FS is in the distance... (Turn 1)

Cobalt whinnied as he awaited his next attack.
"Okay Cobalt, Let's use Flame Wheel!"

 

As Charon put out the ends of his robe out from the flame, Zeferin yelled out, "Give him something back: Payback!"

 

Ponyta smacks!

Duskull used Payback!
Its force was doubled...

"All right Cobalt, let's try this again! Flame Wheel!" Ayame called to her pokemon.

 

"Let's show her what where made of, Charon. Shadow Sneak!"

 

Duskull used Shadow Sneak!

Ponyta smacks again!

Future Sight is no longer in the future. It missed.

Duskull 43.85%

 

"Cobalt, let's snap out of it! I know you can! Then let's heat things up and evaporate that ghost with Fire Blast!"

 

*To Nemo, did Future Sight hit? I can't tell*

"This battle is almost over, Charon. Try to finish this with another Payback!"

 

Uh, it missed (accuracy is 90%, roll was a bit above that), but I didn't note it. Sorry for the confusion; added for your sakes. XD

Yeah! I just defeated my gf! I now have the satisfaction of winning with the bonus of now having the couch all to myself!

maybe battling and then beating your gf, in hindsight, wasn't that great of an idea...lol
