Senzura stood there ready for his first battle without Flanery's assistance or the schools rented pokemon. He pushed up his glasses up and......

"Rabadash YOUR UP!"

Akinai stared a moment at the small chick Pokemon, then directed her starter's attention to Torchic.

"Let's go Trapinch!" (Female, Hyper Cutter)

 

Senzura smiled. Only a few minutes from his hown town of lavaridge town was a desert filled with Trapinch! He knew these things like the back of his hand!

"Rabadash these things hit hard, but the're slow as dirt! If we can lower its strength, we can exploit its weakness! Start off with growl!"

Torchic reared up and readied its intimidating growl

OOC (out of character): BTW after you attack we gotta wait for a judge

 

Akinai laughed at the Attack-lowering ability.

"Let's finish this quickly Trapinch. Use Earth Power!"

 

OOC: Whoa Whoa Whoa we can use moves like that? Trapinch doesnt learn that until level 65!

EDIT: Yeah, Senzura. Pokemon know all level-up moves because they all are automatically level 100.

 

OOC: I thought Hyper Cutter makes it so Attack can't be lowered?

Senzura lookied down in dismay at his beaten Torchic. But he would never give up! He looked in his Pokemon school handbook and found all the moves Torchic already knows. He could use flamethrower! He also had a few tricks helping him at this point. Torchic's Blaze kicks in, and the same type attack advantage to help him more. Flanerys training in mind, Senzura gave the order...

"Rabadash use flamethrower!"

OOC: just reminding the ref Blaze kicks in at this point

Akinai watched as Rabadash blew a powerful burst of fire at Trapinch, steadily trying to burrow her way into the ground. She was too slow however: the Flamethrower hit her full-on.

"Ambush that Torchic from underground Trapinch!"

 

Senzura knew what comes next. Torchic is the obvious faster pokemon, but in this situation it does no good. If he could only hit that trapinch one more time, the battle would be his! But Rabadash was tired, and Senzura knew one more ground hit might take him out. Flanery had always told him "Pokemon battles rarely come to luck, but when they do, focus and brace for eruption!" So Senzura had nothing but luck on his side now. Not to waste a move, Senzura decided on a auxilary move...

"Rabadash, use focus energy!"

 

Torchic uses Focus Energy!

Trapinch uses Dig!

Senzura extended a handshake for Akinai. "I totaly would of won that battle if it wasnt for that mistake at the beginning! But I accept defeat anyway"

OOC: We get prize money right?

 

Akinai accepted Senzura's hand and shook it. "It was a good battle. If you feel that way though, I'm game for a rematch any day!" Picking up Trapinch, she began searching for the closest Pokemon Center.

OOC: I think it's 1000 for winning, 500 for losing. I could be wrong though?

 

Yeah, you guys are right. Regardless of winning or losing, you both get something. Loser gets $500, winners get $1,000. Don't forget to edit your stats. ;0
