Dianne arrived on time to this battle, something she hadn't done in a while. "Good luck," she said pleasantly to her opponent, while drawing a Pokeball from her pack. Concluding that there was no reason to postpone the battle, she threw it without hesitation.

In a flash of red light, a Shellder appeared on the field. "Aurora," Dianne called, "Start off with an Ice Beam!"

Aurora tipped onto the edge of her shell, rolling in a semicircle around Skorupi. She didn't intend to let the other Pokemon out easily; her next Ice Beam began covering the holes the first one had left, strengthening the ice from another angle. Though the maneuver wasn't the most graceful, she tried to execute the move as quickly as she could. The Shellder could feel the poison flowing through her veins, and she didn't intend to allow more it time to spread.
