Jathan entered the area and saw that his opponent was not there yet.

This did not bother him, he simply pulled out his PokeBall and threw it out into the arena.

His precious Ralts was summoned out in a flash of light.

Ross runs into the arena and sees his opponent already there.

'i knew i was late,' he thinks, mentally kicking himself. then, "sorry i'm late!" he tells Jathan as he pulls his pokeball from his sash and releases his pokemon.

Tabuz (Zubat, M, Inner Focus) bursts forth from the pokeball and lets out a cheer, ready for battle.

 

"Not a problem," I called back. "Let's have a good, fair fight!"

Ralts chirruped his agreement.

"Okay, Ralts, let's do some DAMAGE!" I yelled. "Use Psychic!"

"Right!" Ross says, both in response to Jathan and to get into the mindset for a great fight.

"Tabuz, hit it with Astonish!" He yells to his pokemon.
