"Totodile, front and center!" Anthony said tossing a pokeball. In mid air the device let loose a red beam of light and out of it appeared a green and blue *shiny form* totodile.

"Toto totodile!" it said happily jumping about on the battlefield.

Once again, the plain red and white Poké Ball containing Willow the Duskull collided with the soil and burst open with a flash of light. The Ghost Pokémon rose from the two halves of the ball, swaying from side to side in an eery manner. His eye shuddered between the sockets, analysing his new challenger.

It appears to be a Totodile, but it's the wrong colour for one... how unusual..., Willow thought to himself, scratching the side of his head. Wait, is it my head or my body? Curses, now I'm even more confused...

Willow swayed from side to side, and then his eye flashed once, loosing a ray of static red and black energy towards his opponent.

Willow used Night Shade!

 

"Hmm.. a duskull," Anthony said pulling out his pokedex.

"Duskull, the Requiem pokemon, It doggedly pursues its prey wherever it goes. However, the chase is abandoned at sunrise." the pokedex said.

"Alright totodile, lets get to this! Use crunch!" Anthony said.

Totodile growled fiercely and his fangs began to glow, soon his whole jaw was alight with the power of the move. Totodile ran full speed at the hovering ghost jaws open wide, prepared to strike. The wave of odd energy unleashed by the duskull was creeping closer to totodile as it ran.

 

Duskull and Totodile are sent!

Totodile uses Crunch!
Defense dropped!

Duskull uses Night Shade!

Willow wiped a bead of sweat from his face. Half of his health had been drained already, it was going to be tough to defeat this foe if they carried on with that tactic. Willow rounded on the Totodile, and his eye flashed.

See you later, Alligator, Willow thought to himself, giving a sinister chuckle. His eye flashed a second time, and waited for the Totodile's body to glow grey.

Willow used Disable!

 

A mysterious gray light washed over totodile and an odd sensation came over him. I dont think I should use crunch again. Its thoughts about its moves were clouded and when Anthony called out a move totodile did nothing.

"Come on use crunch!" Anthony said.

Instead, totodile moved forward, fangs glowing jaws open wide, but the glow was weaker.

"Bite?" Anthony said, "I didn't tell you to use bite!"

To bad! I want to! Totodile thought to himself, his thoughts still clouded by Willow's move.

Totodile used Bite!

Forget it, this is a no go, I can't even summon the strength to attack properly... unless... what if... ah, forget it, if I lose, I lose, Willow thought to himself, the idea of him losing making him feel bitter. Willow crossed his arms behind his back and prepared to absorb the impact, knowing his resistance would be futile.

Willow used Payback!

 

Totodile uses Bite!
Duskull faints!
