    Akinai calmly walked into the battle arena and faced her opponent. Resting on her backpack was her starter Jade, settling herself more comfortably to watch the fight.

    "You look like a new trainer. Don't worry too much about it, I started here on this island recently as well. I think Jade would be a little hard for a beginner fight however..." Grabbing the second Pokeball from her belt, Akinai threw the sphere onto the field. A short burst of light later revealed a small brown foxlike Pokemon in a battle stance.

    "Kaya, let's do this!" (Eevee, Female, Adaptability)

    Standing on the opposite side to the girl, Mist took his position. He knew this would be a tough battle, she looked experianced and ready to fight. All he could do was have confidence in his new partner. Reaching for his only pokeball, it was tossed into the field revealing Mudkip (Male, Torrent).

    "Use take down!"

    Kaya eyed the Mudkip warily...This was the Eevee's first battle as well, so the two were matched in experience. As Akinai saw the opposing Pokemon charge forward, she issued the first command.

    "Try to blind it with Sand Attack!"
