Felly (Mienshao, Mr. Mime, Chandelure, Metagross) vs. TheProtobabe (Ninetales, Butterfree, Flareon, Gyarados)

Mienshao led with a fierce Fake Out, flinching Ninetales before it could perform Will-O-Wisp. It continued with a powerful Acrobatics, but came away from the encounter with a Burn from another attempt at Will-O-Wisp. Facing defeat at the paws of the nine-tailed fox, Mienshao leapt into the air and performed a Hi Jump Kick, but crashed for massive damage to itself before being finished off with Flamethrower. Mr. Mime came next, crippling Ninetales first with Icy Wind then Charge Beaming perhaps in search of a boost, receiving Payback in return and being Captivated. It's Special Attack lowered, Mr. Mime then attempted a second Charge Beam to no doubt reduce the effect of Captivate, but missed and was felled by a Fire Blast. Chandelure entered and finished the terrible Ninetales that had claimed two of its comrades, defeating it with Shadow Ball, and swiftly dispatching Butterfree with Overheat. Its Special Attack drained, Chandelure struggled against the fierce Adura the Flareon, ultimating slashing its health with Curse to try to take down the Biting, Focusing monster. Flareon proved victorious, but only briefly, as Metagross emerged to defeat it with an Earthquake attack. Her last Pokémon remaining, Gyarados was chosen randomly to do battle, and attempted to overpower the psychic supercomputer robot-spider-thing with Waterfall and the darkest art of Flinch Hax, but Metagross stood firm and battered the sea dragon down with a pair of solid ThunderPunch attacks.

Fushigidane (Metagross, Kabutops, Archeops, Vanilluxe) vs. Felly (Chandelure, Victreebel, Rotom-Mow, Clefable)

Fushi opened with Metagross and Bullet Punch, but was burned by Chandelure's Flame Body ability and Flamethrower, and shortly perished after attempting another Bullet Punch. Kabutops came out seeking revenge, being confused by Chandelure's Confuse Ray but powering through it to use Swords Dance and snapped out of the confusion to trade Stone Edge for Shadow Ball. Chandelure defeated, Victreebel came in and barely survived Stone Edge to finish Kabutops with Leaf Blade. Archeops revenged with Acrobatics, and was in turn brought down by Rotom-Mow's Electro Ball and Thunderbolt attacks. Vanilluxe finished Rotom-Mow with its ice attacks, and faced an uphill struggle in a battle of the final Pokémon against Clefable. Both missed with their initial attacks, and Clefable attempted to use Metronome as a last resort but unfortunately came up as Last Resort, which failed. Vanilluxe's speed and Clefable's misfortune eventually resulted in Clefable being KO'd at the brink of victory.

Mossdeep Leader Siless (Alakazam, Gallade, Metagross, Gardevoir) vs. Challenger Princess Crow (Galvantula, Chandelure, Rotom-Wash, Alakazam)

This intense battle opened with Siless using Alakazam and Gallade against Princess Crow's Galvantula and Chandelure. Things started off with a cunning Ally Switch from Siless, Gallade striking Chandelure with a Night Slash, catching Galvantula's Bug Buzz and Chandelure's Will-O-Wisp landing on the Magically Guarded Alakazam. The Mossdeep Gym Leader continued on with his lightning fast strategy, Gallade weakening Galvantula further with Night Slash while Alakazam finished Chandelure with a Shadow Ball, leaving the electric spider left to fire a powerful Thunder at Gallade, but alas, not powerful enough to take down the mighty warrior. Rotom-Wash came out to replace Alakazam on Princess Crow's side, and joined Galvantula in a side-by-side Sucker Punch against their foes, but Gallade was switched out for Metagross, causing Rotom-Wash to fail, though Galvantula greatly injured Alakazam before falling to a Psychic attack. The challenger Princess Crow was forced to field her last Pokémon, an Alakazam of her own! The next turn started well, with her own Alakazam winning the speed tie and blasting Metagross with a super effective Hidden Power, but upon Rotom-Wash being Encore'd into a failed Sucker Punch and talk of Gym Leader Siless' impending dinner arrangements, she declared forfeit, and the match was over.

Ash K. (Durant, Serperior, Spinda) vs. Voltaire Magneton (Lucario, Flygon, Walrein)

Durant used Hone Claws and tried to run Lucario out of Detect PP using Dig, but Voltaire Magneton did something unexpected and switched to Flygon! Unfortunately it flinched from Iron Head and was KO'd the turn after with Metal Claw, increasing Durant's Attack power even further. Walrein attempted to block Durant's sweep but was immediately OHKO'd with Stone Edge. Lucario managed to finish off the terrible ant with Aura Sphere but was swiftly revenged by Serperior.

A whole bunch o' switchin' for absorbs and resistance and stuff gettin' outsped. Emolga Baton Passed some speed to Empoleon, which then went down to Ludicolo, then Emolga Light Screened, Roosted and Acrobaticsed for the win.

Randomly rolled Pokémon. Some stat-ups, some switching, some unexpected moves and some un-EM'd Pokémon. A late-game Ludicolo sweep countered Weavile's own start of a boosted sweep and ended this battle in Ash K.'s favour. In another reality, Gallade ended the sweep instead with Feint.

Besty xDDD (Jolteon, Electivire) vs. Felly (Ampharos, Mismagius)

A terrible clash of the electric titans with status everywhere! Thunderbolts and Fire Punches, Thunders and Payback, Bite, Double-Edge, Pin Missile, Shadow Ball and Confuse Ray all featured in this battle. Ampharos slowly wore Jolteon down with repeated Fire Punches through Thunder-induced Paralysis until its foe Burned to defeat, and continued on to lay one last punch on Electivire before falling to Electivire's own Fire Punches. Mismagius came in seeking Payback, but was overpowered by 'Vire's powerful Electric attacks.

Ash K. (Beautifly, Sableye, Volcarona, Kingdra) vs. Wintervines (Volcarona, Seismitoad, Swampert, Hippowdon)

WinterVines took an early lead with her Volcarona taking down Beautiful right from the whistle with a Fiery Dance. Kingdra set up Rain Dance in an effort to outspeed, was countered with Tailwind, and counter-countered with Agility. Unfortunately it missed with Hydro Pump and fell to a pair of Hurricane attacks. Sableye came in and managed to injure and confuse Volcarona with Fake Out, Power Gem and Confuse Ray, but it too suffered the Hurricane and fell to a Giga Drain attack. Ash K. started to come back excellently with his own Volcarona, surviving to KO WinterVines' in a deadly display of Hurricane, Quiver Dance, Morning Sun, and finally a super-effective Hidden Power after Sableye's Confuse Ray took its toll on WinterVines' Volcarona. Hippowdon came forth next, surviving to Yawn Volcarona before going down to Giga Drain and Fiery Dance. Now asleep, Ash K.'s final Pokémon was unable to defend itself against Swampert's Rock Slide, and WinterVines took the victory.

Gliscor attempted to set up a Rock Polish, but was Burned with Will O Wisp, so it Baton Passed to Omastar which got OHKO'd by Giga Drain. Gengar finished Gliscor with a couple of Hexes and burn damage.

Ash K. (Feraligatr, Chandelure, Glaceon, Flygon) vs. WinterVines (Zoroark, Medicham, Mienshao, Crobat)

The battle opened with a quick clash between Feraligatr and Crobat, with Crobat Taunting Feraligatr's Dragon Dance, and using Nasty Plot as Glaceon switched in to freeze down the pesky bat. As Glaceon prepared to launch a frozen response, Crobat suddenly fired a Flamethrower attack and knocked Glaceon out cold! Realizing the Crobat as in fact a well-played and crafty Zoroark, Ash K. send Feraligatr back into the field with more aggressive tactics, tripping over a Grass Knot before launching into a devastating Superpower attack and removing the Illusion. Both Pokémon badly injured, Zoroark was withdrawn for Mienshao to take Feraligatr's Aqua Jet, with Feraligatr in turn being swapped for Chandelure, who was immune to Mienshao's Fake Out. Mienshao attempted to outmanuever Chandelure's movements with a Taunt, but was unable to prevent its Flame Charge, and following KOing Psychic. Crobat emerged once again, but this time Ash K. was not fooled and used Psychic again with Chandelure to deal great damage. However, Crobat's Whirlwind move forced it out and Feraligatr back in, who was then swiftly dispatched with an Acrobatic manuever. Chandelure emerged once more and repeated the Flame Charge and Psychic combination through Crobat's Bite. WinterVines sent out her Medicham in an effort to prevent a sweep, trading Will O Wisp's Burn for a paralyzing Thunder Punch on Chandelure. To compound the paralysis, Medicham also inflicted confusion via Swagger on Chandelure, but was fainted by a Hex attack for the trouble. Finally, Zoroark emerged once more and Night Slashed the last of Chandelure's health away, only for Ash K.'s last remaining Pokémon, a fully healthy Flygon, to take Zoroark's Night Burst before finishing it with Dragon Claw.
