I honestly love this crossover concept, as I grew up watching the Lion King.

So first off, we’ve got the pokemon. Many of them seem stylized, especially Mankey. However, the colors are more or less spot on. Entei definitely has a very lion-like vibe about him, Persian being a fitting mate, although her fur seems a tad dark for being in the sunny location she is. While the donphan & girafarig are scaled rather large, they definitely seem to fit, and are correctly colored/shaded. I like the slimmed Tauros made to fit as the antelope as well. Few things that bothered me: Are some of the closer brown pokemon supposed to be hippowdon? And what pokemon is Simba?

Next up is the environment. The rock, featuring very prominently in the foreground, has a lot of detail in both the color and shading, which aids in its appeal in the image. The clouds are nicely blended, creating a clean transition. They also blur evenly with the far off mountains giving a nice perspective. The breeze blowing through the savannah grass is also made evident with the colors. One detail that seems off is the darker line running through the background, mid grass. Is that a river? bit hard to tell without more detail on it. Also, the sun rays seem added in afterwards,s perhaps a little too artificial.

For overall image composition, I would say the depth and perspective is well kept throughout. While many lines look rough, it doesn't detract from the shading/shadows that are added. Some details seem to be lost as distance increases.

    Score: 70/100

    Mankey definitely captured
