Monthly Art Challenge: June Edition!​

Welcome to a new thing I wanted to try out. Since a lot of people don't know what kind of art they want to make, here's a prompt to help them out! In addition, you can get a bonus from doing this.

So here's how it's gonna work. Every month, I'll post a set of themes or parameters to follow. URPG members can make art, using any medium, and if it's posted during that month and fits the theme, they earn cash in addition to the Pokemon they're trying to capture, regardless if it passes or fails. Curators will also earn a bonus if they curate a piece of artwork in a timely manner.

For now, this is only applicable to artists twice per month as a trial period. If it works out, the limit might be removed. We'll see. Curators receive a bonus for all the art they curate.

Rewards

For Artists:

• Simple or Easiest Rank – 2k
• Medium Rank+ - 5k

For Curators:

• 1k extra per piece
• Must be curated before 1 week after the month ends

June Prompts​

A lot of things go on in June, but some of them aren't very iconic. This is why there's going to be several options. School ends and Father's Day come to mind. But we also have the pearl as June's birthstone. And don't forget infamous junebugs (which funnily enough, someone at the bar used to call me)!

Applicable themes are:

• Bug-type Pokemon
• Pearls/White color (shiny counts but not recolors, not applicable to black and white drawings)
• School ending
• Fathers or their relationship

Feel free to post any art within the month of June including one or more of these things to receive the bonus. If you could, please but a [JUN] tag in the thread name or on the art pieces you want to count for that month. Remember, you can only get the bonus twice. Once we see how this plays out, it may be adjusted.

Apparently this didn't make it to the draft, but these themes should be more than just a throw-in. For example, a piece with a white object in the background does not count for the white theme.

If desired, an artist can make a paragraph describing what themes they were shooting for and perhaps make an argument of why it fits. These themes should be important to the piece and thus play an important role. A Curator has the right to say the piece doesn't fit the theme or award the bonus.
