okay it's not a medicham it's just a meditite but the semi-pun was too great to pass up

woah why am I back in the art section?

So uhh... it's a Luchador-styled Meditite! It fights crime in the city and wears a cool costume and stuff!! This took probably 2-3 hours, using a combination of sketching and Photoshop CS5. I modeled the Meditite after this, and used this set of patterns to texture Meditite's costume. Signature is on the bottom right corner, simply says Crow.

ignore the messy handwriting i did this with a trackpad but yeah the layers and everything are all open

    Target Pokemon: Meditite
Requirement: 1 piece, score of 45 or lower.

    Thanks to whoever claims this!

Princess Crow's Mexicham :308: Class: Medium Min Score: 45

First off, I thought the pun was hilarious. Although we Hispanics don't meditate much... Oh well. The title itself will make or break an art piece, and I think you did a good job of making it. The pose looks like a dancer, a very common sight in the Hispanic culture, and the smog ridden city reminds my of the Mixico City capital. To make these connections, I'd have to say you're pretty creative!

I think it would be fair to say that your creativity absolutly covers up your pokemon's color palette, which does not correlate at all to the actual mon. Everything else is fairly correct, although I wish you wold have defined more features like you defined the ear swirls. Or else, the piece simply looks like a bunch of lasso selected regions.

That brings me to the method which you used to make this. You obviously used photoshop or gimp, selected the area based on your photo, and then filled in with textures and colors. This would be far too simple if you hadn't added the shading that you did. The nice values in the helmet would have been great on all the other surfaces, though.

There are a few details that sort of irk me, though.... mainly the shading of the mouth. It seems upside down.... especially since people's mouths don't really have lighter values. There are also many places that look plain flat, like the eyes. I know you were going for the paper style, but some shading and some not makes the peice a little unbalanced.

Sorry I took so long to grade this. Since I made you wait, I've tried to go straight to the points...

So here, you get the pokemon withe a score of 55/100! Your creativity is what got you such a good score.
