Feather's Buizel that is hopefully not that crappy! :)

Trying for Buizel, simple, 35 points needed.

Form/Detail
The image here is very simple, not much as far as detail goes. The most detailed section is the pokemon itself, and it has only as much detail as would be required to define the major shapes. The words are somewhat of a mixed bag for me. They help define the pokemon but they seems odd floating in the air without any backstory or definite placement. if its your signature you can make it less obvious, hiding it in the background or just a small mark in the corner.

The image is fairly balanced, since the only one object is in the center of the image. I can't say much else in form due to the limited imagery.

Color, Texture, and Shading
Theres a fair amount of color unity here, the yellow and blue contrasting nicely with each other. The words are similar in that they are a combination of the two contrasting colors, allowing them to stand out from the rest. Besides that,there isn’t much color variation. The different colors used for the outlines and minor details is nice, but the outlines almost entirely blend in with the white making it hard to see unless you know what to look for.

Theres next to no shading or texture in this image, which makes the pokemon and environment seem like flat plastic or paper. Shading allows the forms of the object to be more clearly defined within the 2D space, and texturing gives different materials their unique properties and helps to differentiate metal from stone from plastic and hair. Shading and texturing are more and more important the farther you go in complexity of the pokemon rank, so be sure to work on both of these.

Pokemon Anatomy
Buizel looks like a buizel, such is always the best first step. It has some differing characteristics than the standard artwork, the most obvious being the nose. I do however think it gives it a more weasel-like quality. The tails seem to be disproportionate to each other, one far thinner and stick like The orange on the pokemon itself seems a bit light, it blends in with the yellow, and the white sometimes merges into the background..

Environment/Perspective
The environment is probably the most lacking in this image. We have here what I playfully refer to as “the plane of suck,” a universe populated by nothing but whiteness. Without an environment for Buizel to live in, the image cannot successfully tell a story to the viewer. Buizel has a number of environments it can live in, so you have endless options for improvements. While the pokemon is important, the environment is just as important in setting the tone and story of the image.

Creativity/Effort
its a simple image, not too much going on for it.

Improvements
Adding in an environment and using the lighting to give it shading and textures would do wonders to an image such as this. it would add shape and materials to the pokemon, and give the background some meaning.
