    @mlouden03

    For Magikarp

    I decided to have fun with it since I figured you could take a joke or two. Enjoy!

    Form/Detail
    Simple, and really balanced due to lack of anything else and the pokemon’s extremely centered position. What throws the viewer off is the angle, this likely came from a camera phone so its understandable yet noticeable. not much detail though, all we have is a pokemon on a piece of paper.

    Color, Texture, and Shading
    The contrast is about as simple as the image, you are contrasting the pokemon against a white background. Harsh to the eye and lacking in much creativity. you also left out any sense of shading, making the pokemon feel flat and lifeless. Yo do have a few scales drawn which could imply texture, although they are also drawn on all the artwork so Im a bit split on it.

    Pokemon Anatomy
    Itsha trap! Wait, Magikarp. And it looks like a magikarp, has the right colors and shapes. Only real complaint would be it seems to have a few sharp corners in spots, but since it was hand drawn this does make more sense. You have Magikarp looking up at something, I would have loved to see you give more meaning to that expression! But since it looks like the pokemon you were intending, Ill give this part a pass.

    Environment/Perspective
    Environment, environment, wherefore art thou environment?

    Not in this pic.

    But in all honesty, Magikarp would look a lot better, if he were he drawn in the water somewhere, either jumping out of it (simple waves and some splashes added) or underwater (blue with bubbles, seaweed, other underwater-type characteristics.) Environment plays such a big part in images, it igves the location of a story. It'd be like having Ash and co. walk around in the anime on a white floor, a lot of visual clues would be absent leaving the story incomplete. Perspective in the image is rather boring, especially considering the lack of anything else to give the eye a workout. The perspective could have made Magikarp looking more dramatic, giving some action and energy to the scene.

    Creativity/Effort
    You drew this quickly to get me another curation, so no bonus on creativity but some on effort sicne you did have an odd goal in mind besides just catching a pokemon.

    Improvements
    Yeah, environment. lots of it. And detail to match.

    Score
    25/100

    hard to screw up an easiest, so take it and get out of my sight!
